2021 - Fingers Crossed!

At last we have entered a new year and - we hope - a better one than 2020. Life as we knew it has changed but if we continue to be vigilant and look after ourselves, our families and our fellow human beings, we’ll get through. The dark days of 2020 have given me a new appreciation for the good stuff.

I’m pursuing new interests this year - I’ve started a vegetable garden, I’m spending more time with family, becoming more involved in my community and am now making plans to travel my state more. I’m decking out my SUV as an overnight camper with the intention of visiting some interesting spots in SA and - hopefully - being inspired to write about my travels.

I’ve learned that procrastination is a poisonous thing and so is regret. I’m doing my best to eliminate these from my life.

Each year my daughters and I choose a word to live by and this year I’ve chosen the ampersand (the ‘&’ symbol) to remind me that, no matter what I do or experience there is always an ‘and…’. There is always more. I can’t wait.
